The President of the European Economic and Social Committee will sign the campaign\u2019s appeal during a live-streamed online event on Tuesday, 8 September 2020<\/em><\/p>\n The campaign was launched at the UN by Rondine\u2019s students in 2018 and asks all countries to invest in education, peacebuilding and human rights. \u201cLeaders for Peace\u201d is supported by the governments of Italy and Costa Rica.<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n A third signature, a third concrete step. For the first time since its launch, back in 2018, the \u201cLeaders for Peace\u201d global campaign sees the formal support of the President of a European Institution. Luca Jahier, President of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) will sign the campaign\u2019s appeal and, thus, join Rondine\u2019s international students from conflict areas in asking all governments of the world concrete efforts in investing in the training of young peace leaders<\/strong>. An investment in peace and education which, according to Rondine and its youth, could foster and support peace processes where most needed.<\/p>\n
