On Thursday, December 7th at 10am ET<\/strong>, please join AfP for the hybrid<\/u> book launch of The Rondine Method<\/em><\/a>, edited by Rowman & Littlefield Publishers and written by Rondine Cittadella della Pace founder Dr. Franco Vaccari and AfP\u2019s Board members Miguel Diaz and Chip Hauss. \u201cThe Rondine Method: A Relational Approach to Conflict\u201d brings to the world a practical relational based approach to transforming conflict. The model shared through this text provides inspiration and a viable path to those that struggle to overcome the conflicts that tear apart our communities.<\/p>\n

This book describes Rondine Cittadella della Pace and its unique residential peacebuilding program that works with young activists from some of the world\u2019s most dangerous conflict zones. Set in its own Tuscan village, Rondine invites students to its two-year long residential program that provides them with a master\u2019s degree, trauma healing, and training in peacebuilding. While at Rondine, students work in pairs representing \u201cboth sides\u201d of a conflict and prepare projects that they will put into place when they return home. Half of the book is devoted to an in-depth description of the Rondine method by its founder, Franco Vaccari, while the remainder consists of essays by Italian and American experts, including the two editors, providing the religious, psychological, and political context for this innovative psycho-social method of conflict resolution.<\/p>\n

The event is hosted by Alliance for Peacebuilding (AfP) a network of 200+ organizations (of which Rondine is associated) working in 181 countries to prevent and reduce violent conflict, violence and fragility and build sustainable peace.<\/p>\n
